I just received at motherboard with a P90 processor in it, 4 PCI slots, 4 ISA
slots and 6 SIMM slots. I want to know what make it is so that I can find the
correct jumper settings and capabilities etc. The only distinguishing mark I
can find on it says FG-P54C.

CAN SOMEONE HELP? thanks

Sounds like a straight single voltage board.Might go up to a P200(non mmx). With no markings, you need to set it up with just a video card to get the bios number off the boot up screen.Post the number

I'll look up that number when I get in the office tomorrow. It may hit on something. The bios string or numbers it shows at bootup would be helpful tho like Mr C is talking about.

If you can write down the string of numbers and letters of the BIOS when it boots up, then you can figure out which manufacturer and model board you have.

Go to this web site and you should find your model listed.

Yeah, however to boot up and get the number, I actually have to hook it all up and I don't have any extra power supplies here except the one on this computer. But if that is the only way, I'll eventually get around to it.

I booted up the board you guys mention...the FG-P54C and this is the info I got:

Bios: 2A5KBH03-00

I looked it up at http://www.ping.be/bios/ at found it to be a Ali 1449/61/51 CHipset. That was good to know, because the chipset is covered with a sticker labeled PCCHips. But I searched the PCChips web pages and found no reference to this board. I am trying to figure out why my Pentium 133(SY022) only shows as 100 Mhz on the boot screen. I set the jumper on the mainboard for 66Mhz, but I couldn't find the multiplier anywhere. Any Ideas?

Take a look at the boards at the Amptron site. They still list a lot of older ones... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

Wow, people are still replying after 1 year. I don't have that board anymore, but I believe that I found mine only would support upto 100MHz. So if yours is the same, then even though you put a 133 processor in, it would only run at 100 anyways. Sort of like under-clocking the CPU.

Ya, thanks guys, I found, by trial and error, that the board has the multiplier set at 1.5. There is no jumper to set the multiplier to anything else, so with the bus speed of 66, the max processor speed will be 100, like Arch said. I didn't realize this post dated back so far. I thought it was 5-24-2000, but I just noticed the 99...wow.
