I recently purchased a motherboard/CPU. AMD Athlon 650 CPU and allegedly an FIC SD11 ATX motherboard. The markings on the motherboard show AK70 Rev A+. I had been trying to load WIN98 for five days and kept getting error message GP error and Video graphic type errors. I have an ATI Rage Maxx 64MB card. I then logged on to FIC's website and discovered that their reported board SD11 had conflicts with ATI video cards, specifically 128 bit pros. So it is suggested that I update my BIOS. Well, unfortunately I wasn't clear on how to identify the BIOS. I downloaded the only version that suggested repair to the ATI conflict. I flashed it to my BIOS and now I don't get anything on my screen. Absolutely nothing. I hear my HD revving up, my CDROM lights up, my floppy shows no signs of life, so I can't boot from a floppy. Any suggestions? Any ideas on where I can get a replacement BIOS chip for my board?

Did you follow the flash instructions exactly? I know on my boards, after a flash, I have to clear the CMOS via a jumper on the motherboard, and then boot into the bios to re-do the settings before it will work.

Yes, I did clear the CMOS via the jumper and then replaced the jumper after a minute or so. I also removed the backup battery. I unplugged the cases power plug, etc. My screen remains blank. I may need a new BIOS chip with the bios for my AMD Chipset FIC board. Thanks for the advice, but I'm still up a creek.
