Hey all,

I am getting the above processor, and I currently have a MSI 6167 motherboard that I acquired in a trade. My question is this, is this motherboard good enough quality to run this CPU? I have been intel for so long, and my last AMD product was an AMD K62-366.... Needless to say, I am kinda Athlon impared. Looking for the best mobo to take advantage of the above processor. Any and all comments are greatly appreciated. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Hey InsaneMorpheus,

I have that partivular mobo!!!

If ya want extreem stability, this is the way to go!!!!
If ya wanna o/c the thing, don't do it???
It is a o/c'ing nightmare!!!
Jumperless, no bios settings and not supported by soft fsb!!!!

If ya want a board for o/c'ing, go for the k7Pro from msi or the k7v!!!!

The Asus K7V is the best Athlon motherboard. I had experiences with the Soyo K7AIA, Abit KA7, Asus K7V, and MSI 6195. I returned all of them and I'm going back to the Asus K7V. It's the fastest and most compatabile board out of all of these.
