hey just got my sd-11 no chip yet its back ordered but is there a way you can tell if i have one of those boards that reboots itself?... its revision 1.8

Hi,

I just got FIC SD11 MB & AMD K7-650 Mhz,does any one have trouble with PCI winmodem? when i try to istall on PCI slot 2,3,4,5, modem check ok in diagnostic, but when i dial up internet i hear modem click, then my PS/2 mouse freeze. i'm not familiar with AMI BIOS. My modem is Viking 56 K PCI,it's work fine on my old amd k6-2 400 PC. Thanks for all your help.

I have a Modem Blaster 56K PCI and get that 3 second pause after I disconnect. Had the same pause with a Supra Max 56K PCI. Tried the Modem Blaster on another motherboard and still get the same pause. I guess it's because they're software modems and use up all available resources when disconnecting.

go out in the backyard.
get out your blowtorch.

What you should do is buy a nice good hardware modem dont go with the software modems I dont like them
