I have an Asus VX97 and want to upgrade my processor. I have a Cirix 150Mhz and my motherboard spec. sheet says that the board can handle a Intel 233Mhz. I want to know if I install anything higher than a 233 will I be able to see the benefits. The board has a 66Mhz bus speed. I think everyone should know that though. How high can I go without pushing the board to hard? Any advice and or recommendations are welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Is there no love for me. I need some advice on weather or not it is feasible to do this. Do I need to post more info?

If you board will support the proper voltages, then you could run a k6-2 400 on it. You need support for 2.2-2.4v for this to work. The AMD k6-2 CXT, AFR, and AFX cores remap the 2x multiplier setting to 6x, thus 6*66=396mhz.

I have the VX97 and a P200 MMX which Iīm running at 225 MHz (3*75).
Donīt know if itīs the optimal solution but Iīve run it like this for about 6 months now without any problems.
