Hey all, I'm trying to flash-but, I really need to ID the AMI BIOS string. Problem is, I can't freeze the screen, at start-up.(Tried the pause/break key) Anyone know a way to freeze the screen, long enough for me to write down the string? I want to make sure I get the correct flash version. Thanks!

I've never had much use for those useless vendors pause key commands. but, I do have a way that will work on any systems out there. I have used it for years here in the shop.
1.open case. if you are set to boot from 1.4 pull off the drive cable or the same if booting from hdd.
you will get a floppy boot errow. can't find floppy drive or hdd
2. write down numbers. go off to do something else, take a walk, mow yard, go to work, come back when ever. and the numbers will still be there. he he
this is something they don't teach you in techie school
3. post numbers here or e-mail me and I'll get you the bios if I have it in my database ect
