Hey guys,
I have an msi6167 m/b, which is autodetect.
I now have 2 sticks of 64Mb pc100.
I have an athlon 650.
But, if I were to put in pc133 memory, would the FSB automatically go up???
Putting my athlon at about 850????
If not, how can I change the FSB then, cause softFSB doesn't work on my m/b.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, you can't change the FSB on that motherboard, and PC133 ram wouldn't really do anything for you. To overclock, however, you can use an Athlon Overclocking device, called a "Golden Fingers". There's a good explanation of them at Tom's Hardware (http://www.tomshardware.com).

Also, Scott reviewed the FreeSpeed by Ninja Micros. Here's the review:

Thanks Dominius and Socalgal,
Now I know I definetely chose the wrong m/b for my athlon system.
I'm aware of the fact that according to a review on sysopt, this mobo seems to be one of the most stabile ones since DOS.
But, that's all nice and neet, but I wanna be able to o/c, it is almost like a virus.
Once you get it, it's almost impossible to get rid of it.
Thanks again
Pim
