This may sound stupid, but I haven't taken my PC repair classes yet, so bear with me.

How do you find out the information about your power supply? Like how many volts and all that jazz? In the bios? On the actual power supply? Software? I dunno.

Some have it written on the PSU but apart from that I dunno http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif. I reckon if you new your electronics you could use a multimeter to find out wattage etc.

Some software can tell you voltages of the different supplies, try this one: http://members.brabant.chello.nl/~a.vankaam/mbm/
But only if your motherboard supports it.
The supply's max output wattage is on the supply case. Hope that helps.

I think you will find its required by law in most countries to be on the power supply some where, as to the actual power out at pins then try here (http://www.informit.com/product/0789712954/)
it will help being able to consult with one of the best books ever published for PC repair and upgrading, even though its not the currant version 11 this one online will cover a lot of your needs.
