Hellmund 04-10-2000, 04:03 AM It's used so that if people are partially blind or related problems they can see items and words on the screen easier. It's for people with disablitlities You had to install it when the OS in installed You can get rid of it by going into Start>settings>controlpanel>add/remove>winsetup you can just untick it if you don't need it Hellmund [This message has been edited by Hellmund (edited 04-10-2000).] holmes 04-10-2000, 06:27 PM Accessibility option in Control Panel is mainly done for people with disabilities. They provide Sticky keys and other keys for the people who are blind or with other disabilities to guess the letter easily. They include providing sound too. hd581 04-10-2000, 10:56 PM Speaking of which, has anyone tried out the Win2k built in Speech Synthesizer? That thing is so funny, we get the computer to say all sorts of things: quote's from the movies, pick up lines, pillow talk. It's pretty smart, too. It pronounces words based on usage (e.g., "I read books." "I read the book." /reed/ vs /red/) and other stuff. alondra 04-12-2000, 11:00 AM One good feature here is toggle keys, this will give you a sound when you hit the caps lock, that the idiot designers put right next to the shift key.
