This is probably a stupid question, but I'll never learn anything if I don't ask, right?
Can any motherboard use ECC enabled memory? If I get a mobo that requires 168-pin DIMMs, can I just cram a 168-pin DIMM with ECC in a memory slot, or does the motherboard have to have some special feature?
I'm just asking b/c I'm getting ready to buy some new memory for an athlon system, and AMD recommended I use memory with ECC.
Thanks!
