From reading the forums here, I guess it doesn't have the best reputation, kind of tempermental. I bought it because it had 4 simm slots and 2 SDRAM slots plus it will take AMD k6-2 cpus as well as my old Intel 233MMX. That way I could upgrade the memory and cpu at different times. Otherwise, if you just wanted a cheap mobo w/o upgrade potential, you could look for an old 430 hx,vx,tx board that has simm slots on it. EDIT I just rechecked the manual, the 503+ does not support nonMMX Intel cpus. Sorry. dlm http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif [This message has been edited by dmcnamar (edited 04-09-2000).] dmcnamar 04-09-2000, 07:34 PM Me again, just visited the Computer Geek site and thought you might be interested: http://www.compgeeks.com/cgi-bin/prod_disp.asp?cat=Mboards#Socket 7 Motherboards dlm http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif alondra 04-09-2000, 08:29 PM thanks folks, Iv'e ordered an amptron 9100 board. will have this week.
