Help me decide between these two motherboards. I hear the K7V is better, but is it worth the difference in price?
In percent, how big of a performance increase can I expect with an Athlon 600 and a K7V compared to the K7M?
Also, the K7V has an integrated soundboard. Is it any good or will I have to buy a separate one? (As long as itīs got stereo sound itīs OK since I think graphics is way more important than sound...)

Well,

I don't have any of these 2 boards, but one thing I do know.

Onboard chipsets always seem to be less in performance then it's add-on counterpart.
I don't really know the technical reasons behind this, but look at it this way:

If an onboard chipset were to die on you, chances are high, that your complete motherboard will not function correctly anymore, since it would then have a defective component on it.

Same for videocards.
If you have a videocard, and one of the memory chips dies on ya, the whole card is probably useless.

Just my two pennies
