You first need to take the original cd and make the songs into ".wav" format. When that is all done, simply put those songs onto your CD-R using the program you have. Then it is time to create the CD which can take a while.

You'd better check if it actually writes a table of contents!!
Without that, all your disks will be useless.
I unfortunately don't know how to set this option.
But, try when you go copy, to first add the tracks you wanna copy, then click cancel.
Then click the red copy button, so you get the menu, and then set your writing speed.
And at the next tab, there should be options like close session but leave disc open (default) and close disc, which you would need.
If this doesn't work, drop me a line.

Some cd programs copy audio better if you choose "copy audio" instead of "duplicate cd". This may involve making an image file, then burning from the hard drive. At least I have had the most luck with this method.

it should have a function to directly copy audio cds...but i cannot remember for usre because i switched to nero for burning.
i also set it to make an image and to burn only, no need to test and burn....takes forever...

Check and make sure disc at once is not being used as it eliminates the gaps between the audio tracks and writes it all as one track.
Can you listen to it on your computer?

My first copied music cd was nothing but a bunch of "tick tick tick tick tick tick tick"
Didn't copy very well(CD to CD). The best way I know is to do almost what Warthog said...extract them to MP3, convert back to .WAV and then burn WITH disk at once on. I think there's an option "make exact copy of CD" or something like that too...that should work!
OH!!! And do NOT use a CD-RW to copy...those things just don't play in CD players for some reason. Just use regular CD-R's http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I don't use Adaptec's Easy CD Creator, I use a program called "Gear Audio" with it if I want to copy an Audio CD, I have to drag and drop each individual track that is on the CD you are trying to copy, one at a time, if you don't (If you just select all) it comes out as 1 big track and that's how any CD player will see it, you won't be able to select individual songs. I don't know if it's that way in Adaptec's CD Creator but it sounds like it.
I just installed a CD-RW drive. To test my new toy, I copied an audio CD. Can anyone tell me why the copied CD has no tracks? I cannot listen to individual songs? I am using Adaptec's CD creator 4.0. Are there options I need to set? Please advise.
