Hey guys,

Since a little while, I have a motherboard which is an asus, but it is a stripped version of it.

It's a PIII board with a via133 chip on it.
I can see where the jumpers where supposed to be, but they ain't there.

My question was, if one is handy at soldering and that kinda stuff, can one place the jumpers on himself???

I have the materials and the motherboard, so I think it can be done.

Any help on this would be more then welcome, 'cause I hate jumperless mobo's.

Thanks in advance

If the jumper connectors aren't there, maybe the chips to control them aren't there either. I don't think soldering jumpers will work.

Only if the MB can have jumperfree bios and it supports jumpers. Yes I believe there are some MB's that do both.

Sorry to post again but, I beleive Asus makes a MB that supports both. I also hate jumperless cause I don't beleive just changing it in the bios will do it for me. I like jumpers so I'm going to get the P3C-E MB by ASUS. Hopes this helps!

Guardian, with all due respect, I've found jumpers a pain in the ***** with big fingers(hmm, butterfinger any one?)

Ultima, I believe you'll be disappointed if you tried to attach jumpers. Just a hunch, but it sounds like you have an OEM board that will not have the connectors for the controller. It's also known as value added (yeh, right)cost saving option for OEM's.
