I have a 486DX/2 based mobo w/a 178MB Hardrive in it right now, I'd like to get atleast a 4.3 GB HD, can the mobo take it

Depends on the bios. You could always use one of the hard-disk utils that come from major manufactuers (Western Digital, Maxtor, etc.) to trick your bios into using the whole drive if the bios does not support drives that large. wyvrn 03-14-2000, 12:44 PM Most likely you will have to make 2 partitions of around 2.1 GB, as most 486 bios can see up to that range. Then you have two drive letters (one for backup/applications/mp3s/whatever) and lose only 100 Mb or so. SysOpt.com
