I got this motherboard a P6Bat-A+. Since I've had it-she freezes solidly. I've used 3rd party utilities to no avail, there's no conflict in hardware or software. I also updated my BIOS.I even went out and got an extra fan thinking it was too warm. Still freezes, (no ctrl-alt-del)I can do anything to any button, key ect. Have to shut off and turn on to get it to run.
Anyone has suggestions of what can be wrong??

Sounds like the ram to me. Can you swap that out and try it with some that's known good?
More info, like processor, OS and board manufacturer would help.

I tried your suggestion Ygor with the ram that was known good--didn't work.
My processor is an intel 366mhz, windows 98 but I did get the patch for the glitches. I believe ECS is the manufacturer.
I've contacted them numerous times--they don't even bother to answer back.
Any other suggestions??

I figured out the problem with the freezedowns--I'm a little red faced at the moment.
"As I recall I have changed the video card twice and had no result; but, low and behold I switched (again) the brand and voila!! motherboard is fine. Mind you I found this out after dismantling the board afew times)."
**If anyone ever gets the P6BAT-A+ no revision motherboard---- IT CANNOT use the Trident 3DImage 9750 chipset and it also buggers up the built in soundcard.**
I thank everyone for the help and advice.
