I have an Award Plug and Play board. I'm running Win98, 400mhz at 66mhz bus speed. I thought Win98 would automatically pick it up at 100mhz. Is my Clock speed set wrong? Changing it to 100mhz, will it damage my system?? HELP PLEASE!!! Cant find the answers I need!!!
Thanks
Alan
Umm, as far as I know, Award makes Bios chips, not motherboards. Which motherboard is it? More info is needed.
Yes, you must set the jumpers unless you have soft bios that lets you select bus speed, etc onscreen.

BTW....win98 will not automatically choose your FSB speed for you.

What CPU type do you have, anyway? If it's a Celeron chip, for example, then 66 Mhz is factory spec for front side bus speed.
I agree with Ygor, give us details.
