Does anyone knows if any dual processor mobo can support 1 x PII processor and 1 x PIII processor running simultaneously ?

Thanks.

I think any of em can, as long as they run the same speed.
Also, You cant be using WIn2k. This is because the PII and PIII are identical except for the SSE instrcutions, and Win2k is the only dual processor capable OS that can recognize SSE, making some incompatability issues with the 2 processors. The same holds true for Celeron + PIII.

To answer your question
I don't belive any can.
On Mine both P3 550 had to be from the same batch
Also with Intel they make 4 differant 550's
only 2 support dual cappabilities (straight from Intel)
So if you go to a dual beaware that you most likely will have to get them to match
You might want to wait to see if Anthalons
will have to match, Intels do!

While probably yes in most cases, it is not reccommended. As noted above, Win2k is very picky about p3's due to the SSE issue. But other problems can arise, such as timings errors, which could lead to poor system stability. I always try to use matching cpu's when buildin a SMP setup, so as to save me problems later on.
