Boot-up problems

Problem: My computer fails to retain it's BIOS settings after setting up and storing (F9). It runs up with one or both of the two hard drives missing. When correct config is achieved after multiple boots, it eventually sorts itself out. After shutting down overnight, the problem re-occurs.


Pentium II 300hz
Pheonix Bios
Gateway G6

Latest BIOS version flashed but problems existed before this.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks, tried that but problem still there.
