I found this great site a while back, and there is a lot of info there. These people have a large database of boards and are really helpful..they will e-mail info to you if it isn't downloadable on the site. They have helped me a few times...all they want are old mobo manuals if you have them..or even old boards to glean info from...and they're Canadian http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
give it a try http://venus.spaceports.com/~canada/webhq/index.html

http://www.ping.be/bios/numbers.shtml

This page has a utility that identifies your
bios number, manufacturer, etc.
It's called Cmbios.exe or something similar

Its a PC Chips board. Take a look at the 'PC Chips Lottery page at: http://www.stud.fernuni-hagen.de/q3998142/pcchips/

Go to the "DO NOT KNOW" link and put in the info about your board and see what it comes up with. If the search does not find anything, try leaving some of the fields as don't know like AT/ATX power connectors and so forth. The database can't factor every variable. Just an FYI, you have my least favorite motherboard manufacturer in your hands. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

It's a lot simpler than all this.

There is only one board (with many alias names) with a chipset labelled "VXpro": PC-Chips M537. A later release of the board, "VXpro+" is M537DMA33.

Visit www.ping.be/bios, (http://www.ping.be/bios,) go to BIOS Upgrades -> PC-Chips. Then use the PC-Chips lottery to find links for your board, and visit the "XPro" page (data collected by guess-who :-) to learn more about what these chipsets actually are.

You'll find that the M537DMA33 is still a useful board today, while the M537 doesn't have many upgrade options open.

So you are the one. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif I'm not a fan of PcChips boards, but the XPro page has a lot of good info for those who end up stuck with them.

BTW, the link I posted above is the PcChips Lottery Page. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
