Today I:
1. Hit my head off a solid steel beam.
2. Cut open my finger on an AT case.
3. Got electrecuted by a 220volt wire.
4. Spent the whole day in the computer store trying to sort out the problems with my stuff. I'm just sick of everything - I can't fully feel my right hand yet, since I zapped it - my arm muscles went into spasms for a few seconds. Anyone have a worse day?
I'm sorry to hear you're not makeing out too well today. 220 volts, ouch! No burns that you should go to the hospital for?
Cheer up! There'll be a brighter tomorrow! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
22 degrees F, that rocks!
I'm haveing a blaaaah day. I woke up at 8...was in the hot tub at 8:30. Scince then I've just been wasting time listening to music. I've wanted to go rideing (mtn. bike) but everytime I peek my head out of the door the temp is uninspirieing. *edit- or "uninspiring", whatever suits you. Spell check dependent!*
Mmmmmm, subway...yes, I'm going to subway now. Ha, they have new buns.

Alpha, I think you should call it a day right about now. Take a rest because tomorrow should be a better day.
I got zapped some years ago by 220 too, but didn't suffer loss of feeling in my arm that I can remember. I was a kid...enough said.
Do you have any surface burns where you touched? If so, they may need to be looked at.
I don't think a rate of 80 is out of the ordinary, but by you relaxing that could help. Feel better. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Hey Alpha
Everything here is A-OK, so far ...... But the day is only half over.
I hope our day gets better alpha, better go to the doc about that hand though. Nerve damage is not a good thing. Just remember, things will always get better.
I have had a really good day for far. Put some blow holes in my case, dropped the temp 22 degrees F, fell head over heels for a girl, and finally got my room straightened up

Nice blow-hole job! Most of the feeling is back into my hand, but my pulse is at 80beats per minute. I don't think my room will ever be straightened out - there's 10 heatsinks on the ground, numorous fans, a power supply, several expansion cards... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/redface.gif

Well, after a good nights sleep, I can feel my arm again! I think I'm ok. It feels really cool when ya get zapped by a 220, it just hurts a bit afterwards. See, I was turning on an AT PSU outside a case - I held the switch between two fingers and pushed the button with my thumb - one finger was on a grounded piece of metal and the other was on the neutral wire - the insulation had slid up. eek! Hopefully today will be better (yeah right http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif)
Thanks all!

Hi Alpha
No lets see if there is anything positive about the events today,
1. Did you damage the steel beem, I guess not as the beems still there.
2.cut fingure open, well you just repainted the case,
3. 220 Volt jolt, power company not sueing for unofficial use of power.
4. Spent whole day at computer store, well did you gain any benefit, if yes it was'nt a waste.
5. the most important thing about today, you are still with us, 220 normally kills, so you are having a very lucky day,
try to look at things in a positive way even when it looks stupid or sinical, and then you can turn the rest of the day into a real good one, it's the way I get through when things look like being a poison day.

Yeah, might as well look on the brigh side - the 220vac only went through my arm, so I'm not dead yet - makes ya feel mental for a second.

well it will sting for a while, was it you left or right, if you are going to get a sap, its better in the right arm than the left so the Doc tells me, less likely to put the heart into fib.
Glad your alright, thats the main thing.

I once sat on 230 volts - not a wise idea. Didnt hurt so much, left a funny mark. Couldnt really get any help either cos all of us were laughing because it was such a dumb thing to do.
i know a guy who made a doomsday device by connecting 2 plugs into the same wire. BOOM.
Ah well, i am surrounding by insane sadists, lol

Sitting on 230vac really takes the biscuit. It's not so much a painful sensation as a psychotic one - if you don't know what you did, it's confusin'!

Man, and I thought that poke from an ATX case was bad. Anyway, my day has gone pretty well, could be better, but after hearing this, I can't complain. Remember, once you've hit rock bottom, you can only go up.
