And with a small solder joint (on the right pins under the socket) you can enable the higher multipliers in the AMD processors. Main thing is to check the voltages your board can supply, the new chips have lower voltage requirements than the old Intel MMX's. Bear in mind your Bios might not recognise a faster CPU correctly and in extreme cases not boot at all with 'unknown' CPUs. SysOpt.com
