what is it that you are trying to do? The kinda cases I buy. have a inerchangeable plate on them. I can use either a atx or a at motherboard. are you trying to put a atx board in a at case. or what?

It can be done, but any time something doesn't work or doesn't work right, you're going to wonder if it was your jury-rig.

You can use the reset button as a power button, but it's easier to just do it right even if it is a bit more cost at the moment. You may need the reset option.

I will have to agree with pcmedic. If you look around, cases can be found dirt cheap. One place is: http://www.logicalsrc.com/ . They sell their ATX 2021 series Mid Tower with a 250 watt Rev 2.01 PS for $20.45!! That even includes an interchangeable i/o plate to support AT m/b's. Supports most AT, ATX Venus, and ATX Marl formats.
