Sony is the best but above $300. Viewsonic is second or so and costs less. You should be able to find one for your price. Make sure you get one with a low dot pitch. .26 or lower.
Don't buy a Gateway monitor. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I have had to send two back.

Check the User Reviews section here to see what some of the experiences people have had with different monitors.

I know that I myself have had VERY good luck (so far anyways) with the Sylvannia monitors that are sold at Costco (of all places!)

Bought the 17 incher (F74) for $169 for the finace and then decided to get myself the 19 incher (F93) for $289!

Both have great pictures anf for the price they seem hard to beat.

Good luck!!

I have a Sony Trinitron. It is Excellent. Very flat screen excellent sharpness and on screen display. Sony Trinitron and Mitsubushi Diamondtron Monitors are the best.

I have a Mitsubishi DiamondTron NF and must admit http://www.sysopt.com/forum/redface.gif that after *again* tweaking some settings, I have a great picture and am now happy.
