I currently have cash for either a P!!! 800MHz processor or a CPD-G400 moniter.
For reference, I've got a P!!! 450MHz processor and a CTX 711T (17") moniter.
If this helps, I'm planning to buy the V5 5500 or any NV15 based product later on...
Thanks!

If your MB will support it, the PIII 800.

I'd say the monitor. The 800's price will come down and you will be able to afford it later.

i say get the CPU, your monitor is big enough for you. Or, just get parts for your computer such as Alpha Heatsinks and fans, or anything else. But get the 800MHz CPU, it's fast, and well, you could probably hit 1GHz with that OCing.

I would go for the CPU.

Go for the monitor and dual screen setup. You will be MUCH more productive when you run with two monitors on your computer. As daveleau said: processors drop fast in price, the price of monitors drops slower. Monitor! Monitor!

**crowd cheers in the background** CPU, MONITOR-MONITOR, CPU-CPU, MONITOR, CPU, MONITOR, RAT **huh???**
lol
just ask yourself, "do i need more speed?", or "do i need a bigger screen that supports higher resolution". or "do i wanna overclock this baby"? hehe. or "do i want to wash my car, it does have birdpoop on it. LOL http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif
Well...get the monitor and run your existing P3 at 600Mhz...good compromise I think.
