Hello;
Thank you for taking the time to read this message.
I am having a problem with Windows 98 locking up on me in several ways. (1) The mouse pointer just gets locked up and
[Ctrl][Alt][Del] will not do a thing.
(2) The hour glass sometime just gets frozen on the screen and the [Ctrl[Alt][Del] same as (1)!!
(3) When I re-boot my Icons are moved around on my desktop.
This is a new install of the full blown 2nd. edition of Win98. I previously had Windows95 and did the Upgrade to 98.. My system was acting very strange and my registry or something crashed, so I went out and got the full version. Motherboard is Asus P5A. CPU is AMD 400 Mhz. Two banks of memory
Mem.=192 meg. PC/133 SDRAM.(1)64MB + (1) 128
Any information with this problem will be very much appreciated..
This system crashed on me a week ago and I have been working on it for HOURS and am still having problems.. Getting ready to pull my *&&%^#@ Hair out. :-(
Thanks again.

I feel your pain, but don't have much help to offer. Do you know how to setup Dr. Watson to write an error log? This might give you some clue as to whats going on next time it crashes. Find the file named drwatson.exe and click on it. It will run in the background and watch whats going on. Be sure to configue to write the error log somewhere that you can find it later.
