hello
does any1 kno how to disable the sound card that came with the IBM aptiva 545?
it is a built in soundcard, and i am trying to upgrade it to a SB64

go to ibm's web page and into the support section. there you will be asked for the model number etc of your machine. if you enter it and go into online publications, there is normally a manual called a "Hardware Maintenance Manual", in there is a list of all the jumper settings etc.

It might be disabled from within the bios, if not, then go for the HMM
