This was posted in a thread on overclockers.com...

"I personally recommend the Abit BF6 ..or if you gotta have dma66, the BE6 r2.<snip>..plus...get this! 1 mhz incremental bus speeds from 83 to 200.."

Is this true?

Yep....It's called the softmenu III It allows the smallest of the mhz fsb changes. (the real overclockers dream)

Are you SERIOUS? Why isnt there more of an uproar about this? Its the ultimate way of finding out exactly what your cpu can do, isnt it? Isnt intle upset or something? They go thru all the trouble of locking the multiplier, but now people can change these to anything they want....I cant beleive I havent heard about it until now. I have the **** BE-6, 2 weeks too late I guess. This puppy's getting sold. I've used it like a couple hours so far, havent even gotten around to burning it in good. And screw this UDMA66 stuff..theres not a whole lot of difference I'm seeing at all. A Nice BF-6, $98 plus shipping, I'm in biz http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Yep...Motherboards are going thru changes almost as fast as the CPU's. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Got to love it!

Hey all, what kind of socket or slocket does that Abit BF-6 use?
Is it socket 7, or pent 11 (I dont know what to call a pent 11 or a celeron socket as I have only socket 7 pent 1 and AMD boards)

It's slot 1. Abit is not making socket 7 boards... yet.

Pentium II/III's use Slot 1. Celerons use Slot 1 up to 400 mhz. They are also made in a socket 370 version (PPGA) up to 500 or 533 now. You can convert a socket 370 processor to slot 1 with a simple, $10-12 converter.
