TMC T15VGF Motherboard

Hi,
I just order myself a TMC T15VGF Mobo and K6-3 450. Has anyone out there experienced this board.? What kind of problems am I likely to encounter. This is my 1st mobo upgrade (gulp!) and I am quite frankly ****ting myself although it seems okay from the info I have read. Any comments would be appreciated.

I have this board and have been running it for about 2 months now, very impressed. The 2meg onbaord cache has a great affect on the overall speed of the system. It was easy to put in and all jumpers have been replaced with dip switches, very user friendly.

The reason I went for this board in the first place was, I didn't like my old Gigabyte GA-5AX board which only had 512kb cache, believe me it has made a difference.

Plus I no longer needed the ISA slots.

All in all a good buy, I think. I am looking at chopping my K6-III 400 in for a K6-III 500 when they drop a little in price.

I bought the board I think on your recommendation on another topic discussion some time ago, so I'll let you know how it pans out. I was going for the K6-3 500 but was told AMD have just recently recalled it! Worth knowing I think!!!!!!!!!

I hadn't heard about AMD recalling the 500, but I guess here is the kinda place to find that out.

Come to think of it, does anyone know if AMD are dropping the socket 7 after the K6-III 500 or are there gonna be more K6's??? Info appreciated.

I've heard somewhere that they are adding to the K6-2 range in the future probably up to 600Mhz. Seems strange to me as the K6-3 is more advanced.

I've got this board with a K6 3 400 and 128 MB PC100 memory. I have intalled 95 OSR2, 98 and 98SE along with all the latest via drivers. I cannot get IRQ steering to work correctly and have constant errors in the miniport table. I have tried 5 types of AGP graphics and 2 different PCI cards but to no avail. Am I missing something here or is there a BIOS setting I need to check. All my cards install and run correctly when I replace the T15VGF with my FIC 503+

Hi,
I've just installed this board and had no problems other than the one Cocopops has just posted. Did you install the updated drivers for the mobo off the CD. I didn't and had no problems. If so, maybe thats the problem.
