I just purchased the ABIT BM6 motherboard, and am preparing to install it. However, I need to ask a technical question about the CPU Operating Speed, because the manual says that "the wrong settings of the multiplier and external clock may cause CPU damage".

On page 3-3 & 3-4 of the manual, it gives you several settings at which speed to set your External Clock * the Multiplier. However, my 466 Mhz Celeron processor is not listed among those choices given. Which should I choose for mine?

The options that they give are:
300 (66*4.5)
333 (66*5)
366 (66*5.5)
400 (66*6)
433 (66*6.5)

Then they list the Pentium II speeds:
450 (100*4.5)
500 (100*5)

Thanks a lot!

The correct setting would be 66*7

If there is no 7*, set it at 66*anything else, and then go down to www.abit-usa.com (http://www.abit-usa.com)
to get the newest BIOS update, and install that according to thier instructions.
This should make the 7* option work if its not already there.
