I just bought a 10gig H/D and my computer only reads 2gig. I was told the bios needed to be updated is this true? I have an id code below.....

Intel 440bx AGP/PCI BIOS

what version of windows are you using if you using windows 95 it's windows, if 98 it should see it all

You are using Win95 original version or Win95a? If you are then your HD have been formated with FAT16. This limits you to 2gigs.

You need to use Win95 OSR2.x or Win 98 and format the HD to FAT32.

Thanks Scotter and Pantion. I am trying to install win98 2nd edition, Fdisk only reads 2 gigs as does my BIOS, do you have anymore ideas?

Thanks for that I have got it up and running. I downloaded a diskmanager and partitioned it then fdisk read it and I could adjust. Thanks for your help
