does anyone know about my A-trend atc-6220 slot 1 mother board?
I just built my first system and I must say I am proud.I told you the mobo and its a intel 440bx AGPset three 168 dimm sockets the board has a jumper wich will auto detect the procesor and that works fine if you remove the jumper it is automaticly 100mhz bus but the only way for me to change the cpu speed is by bus speed in the bios.there is a multiplyer dip switch but it seems like every position I put it in it will allways read 5x I am using a celery 333mhz cpu which is 66x5 and I wanted to go to 100x3.5 but then it wont even start up because of that multiplyer and Im afraid to just oc by bus speed becuse I dont want to burn the proc up.I did try it shortly just to see what it would do and I hit 83x5(416)and every thing was fine but like I said I was kinda scared
anyway if you can help i'de appreciate it thanks

well I guess thats ok I had the choise of that or a amdk6-2 400 for ten bucks more but from all of the oc forom serching ive done it seems to me that the celery 333 is for the most part extremly overclockable ive seen lots of people saying that theirs were in thehigh 400s and low 500s and like I said I went to 416 and it seamed stable but I was just woried about burnning it up. Besides the mother board was a steal at 60 bucks new in the box.the book said it would handle up to a p2 450 but the bus goes to 133 and the multiplyer goes to 6 so is there a slot one that I can get that is not clock locked?
