which motherboard for Athlon

I will soon be upgrading my Dell XPS233. I want to get either the AMD Athlon 600 or 700, depends on pricing over Christmas. How How do I know if my new motherboard will fit the existing case? I couldn't find any AMD motherboards that have AGP4X. Do any exist? I want to get the Viper770Ultra which is 4X, will it be much slower if I run it at 2X. I basically want the best motherboard for under $200 that can accept AMD Athlon 700 and be compatible with future clock speeds like 1GHz. And of course it has to fit my case.

As to whether any of these boards will fit into your Dell case, someone else will have to answer that one...
