Unknown Error

I have an Award Bios in my computer.. I recently replaced a hard drive. When I put it back together it works fine except for when I hook a hard drive to it..even the old one doesn't work now. It starts fine and the I get a Verifing DMI Pool Data... if no hard drive is attached it will boot from floppy. If attached it halts and goes no farther. What could be wrong? I have my bios set for auto configure...still no help it detects and then stops...

Check your BIOS for HD configuration. Either it isn't correctly configured or none is configured. If you don't know the heads/cylinders/sectors then just use the autoconfig option on the BIOS.

And remeber not trying to put 2 HD in the same IDE channel with the master jumper or they will not boot up correctly, since they'll fight for who is the master and who is the slave.
