I recently aquired a mother board. It has a socket 7 with a Intel P-75. It has 4 ISA, 4 PCI, and 4 72 pin RAM sockets. On board hookups for 2 Com ports, 1 Printer, 2 IDE, and 1 Floppy. AT sytle keyboard. Two chips on board indicating Intel 94' PCIset. It has an Award BIOS from 1995. Also on the motherboard is a code saying 'MP058 REV:B'. There is nothing else indicating who made it. I have looked through Intel's site and did find any information on this motherboard. My problem is that I have only a video card hooked up with not memory (because I'm not sure what kind it takes). When I turn it on I only get 1 long beep and then a wait and then 1 long beep and so on...
Any information regarding what this motherboard is or what I'm doing wrong is greatly helpful. If anymore information is needed to help me, let me know and I will tell more. Again, thanks to any who reply...

You need to have memory installed or you won't be able to get anything to view from your monitor. Any socket 7 board should take FPM or EDO simms, up to at least 64mb each simm slot.
Hope this helps.

The beep you are getting means there is no mem on the motherboard. Get some and it should startup with no prob.

Just make sure the simms are in pairs of the same size and speed... you know 2 simms of 4,8,16 megs and of the same speed 60, 70ns.

I have tried both fastpage and EDO 72 pin simms (also with different parity) and I still get the single long beep, silence, single long beep and so on... Any other help? Thanks...

It looks like the motherboard is made by Edom. Their website is "www.edom.com", imagine that. Check under their support site, and it should give you everything you want to know about the board, including Bios updates and manual. I didn't look in-depth regarding the specs for the board, but hopefully something on their site will help you with your problem.
Best of Luck!

The ram you tried is in matching pairs, right? If it's anything like my old socket 5 board, it won't work with singles (It had the same problem). As well, try the ram in different slots. You could have them in the wrong bank. Good luck...
