I've just got a AI5VG+ motherboard. I happy with the board expect that I can't seem to find any software to work with the temperature sensor. (even the software supplied on the CD with the board doesn't work with it!). This board has a Ad22105 temp sensor. Any ideas what software will work with it?

hi blinky

The only thing I can suggest is to visit the site and make sure you have the updated drivers and bios flash for this board.

http://www.mycomp-tmc.com/tmc/AI5VGPds.htm

It does seem a bit odd the temp monitor program supplied with your board would not work with it. Maybe a check of the program's site for an update/patch may help.

Your AD22105 is manufactured by Analog Devices, perhaps you could get more info/help from them. http://www.fer.nu/chipdir/c/a.htm#analog_devices

Then, perhaps there's something wrong with the board itself. Since you said you just "got it", maybe an RMA would be something to think about if this continues to be a problem.

Hope I was able to provide something of use here. Good Luck.

Hi,

thanks for the info. I rang TMC tech support here in the UK. They said that the sensor just sounds an alarm and shuts down the CPU when the temperautre reaches 60C. I'm sure there must be a way of reading the temp from this chip. I will see if I can dig up some info from analogue devices
