ZoneAlarm & DialPad

I just started using ZoneAlarm (seems to work great), but I'm having trouble using DialPad with it on. When I place a call, I can be heard, but I can't hear the other person. There is probably an easy solution to this. DialPad's FAQ has firewall instructions, but I don't want to defeat the purpose of a firewall.

So, will the DialPad instructions compromise the firewall? And, is there a better way to do this through ZoneAlarm?

I don't use dialpad but do use ZA. You may want to allow dialpad to act as a server in the ZA prefs. Under ZA....programs, r. click dialpad and check off "allow as server"
