i would like to get a abit board, since i use
the abit bh6 for quite a while and i like
it pretty much,is the abit bm6 a good choice,
does the new global win sockel 370 fit on
the board or do i need the smaller version
or the alpha, and how high can i get with
a 466 cpu (overclock)???

If you already have an ABIT BH6, and are doing a CPU replacement, u can just get a Slocket (slot 1 to PPGA converter). The popular one is the MSI 6905. Ive used a Celeron on a MSI 6905 on a BH6 with a GW-FDP32 (the big daddy of S370 coolers), and fits nicely..doesnt even block any ram slots... /forum/smile.gif
and the FDP32 will fit on both the ZM6 and the BM6, but not the BP6 (dually sockey370 board)

If u do need a new board, save a couple bucks and get the ZM6, cuz the drawbacks are so minute it doesnt even effect 99% of the users...the diffs are that the last PCI slot can be used for just a voodoo2 card (or any other non master PCI card) and u cant have more than 512MB I think.

AuraEdge: one more question, the zm6 is using
the zx chipset is it their a big diffrence to the bx on the bm6

The differences are really insignificant. The 3 differences between the ZX and the BX are
1) The last PCI slot can only be used for a PCI card that doesnt need bus mastering...but the other 4 slots are fully functional..I dont think anyone can use up all the slots without having as least one non busmastered PCI card. It's Effect on u? None at all, just dont use the last PCI slot and your home free.

2) U can only have 4 'sides' of RAM. 64MB is one sided. 128 and 256MB are 2 sided. The max common config on this board is 1 128MB and 2 64MB. Thats 256MB MAX without using 256MB Sticks.
If you dont get all that, I'll just say that u cant have more than 256MB RAM. Most system these days only have 128 RAM and few go over this Limit...and probably less than .1% go over 256MB...So its effect on ya...just about none at all again

3) its about 5-15 bucks cheaper. Its effect on you...A Medium pizza and soda /forum/smile.gif
