I feel weird typeing this...but with the broad base of knowledge found on this board I figure there's no harm. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

2 days ago I found another ICQ number listed under a friends name...which isn't unusual, except it also had the same e-mail. I've also seen both numbers on at the same time.

The friend lives in the check republic and whois scan on her IP confirms this. I had a bit of trouble (not really http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif) getting the imposters IP even though they had selected to have ICQ mask it. Whois didn't turn up anything for the IP, but the "LAN IP" showed up as UUnet (http://www.arin.net/cgi-bin/whois.pl?queryinput=OA12-ARIN) of Fairfax, VA.

She's a close friend so this is troubleing to say the least. She doesn't even have internet access right now, so I can't really talk to her too often.

I havn't gotten a reply from the other UIN....though whoever it is, they're online right now. They're online everyday.

Any advice would be appriciated. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

If anyone could find info on this IP (180.145.159.33)...I'd really appriciate it.

It seams to be a static IP.

Hmm, let me guess..she has one of the "lower" ICQ #'s? It's the latest thing with some hackers. It must be cool to have a low ICQ number or something because they're taking over the lower numbers. :/

I lose that IP in New Jersey, but that doesn't mean it's there.
Oh, I just got attacked from an IP at Globix Corporation....hmm- who are they?

Nope she has a 8 digit number.

Underclocked, how did you come up with new jersy?

The ISP (UUnet) services like 20 countries. Not the Chech Republic though....which sort of rules out a jealouse X or anything like that.
