I have spent around $4000 building and upgrading my oldie machine:
current configuration:
2 x C433 (oc' 520) @ BP6
2x32MB PC66 + 1x 128MB PC100
ATI Rage Pro 8MB (somewhere in my room)
Matrox Mystique 4MB (exchanged for that ATI with a friend)
Diamond V770 (oc 145/175) (currently in use)
Kengsinton 4-button mouse (programmable)
USR Modem 33.6
Toshiba 12x CDRom (sitting somewhere in my room)
Toshiba 32x CDRom (in use)
Ricoh 4x4x24 CDRW
SB AWE64 value ISA(still satisfying my http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
ViewSonic 17PS (bought @ $700, which was the lowest price at that time, working perfectly still... especially after I cleaned it... Thanks to those guys suggesting using dish detergent to do that, seems fine. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
NEC 100MB HD (yes, it is a harddrive, not a zip http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Quantum 2.1 HD (one of the first ATA 33)
Seagate 6.5 HD (the first 7200RPM)
2x 1.44 floppy drive (one is sitting somewhere )
Zip 100MB Parrall (slow as hell! )
DLINK 10/100MB NIC
DLINK 5port HUB
Altec Lansing 52 Speakers (got to love this one)
Focus 2001 Keyboard (dirty as hell now http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
All above sit inside of an InWin A500 (too small for all these stuff), once upon a time, there were 7 fans inside this small case (2 for CPU, 2 for PS, 1 slot fan, 1 front Case fan, 1 blow fan)
OS: NT4 Server/Win98 SE
I haven't updated the Y2K bios fix yet, maybe next melliummun (never know how to spell this one http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif )

Here goes, with what I'm currently using:
Pentium II-350MHz Processor running at 350
Abit BH6 motherboard
128 MB of RAM
ATI xpert98 AGP video
Philips/Magnavox 105S 15" monitor
Maxtor 10.8 GB Hard Drive
Pioneer 10x/40x slot load DVD
Yamaha 6416S Burner
Digital Research Technologies LS-120
Ensoniq AudioPCI (ES1371) sound into Altec Lansing ATP3's
Adaptec 2906 SCSI card
Realtek 8139-based Network Card
Hollywood+ Clone DVD decoder
AIMS Labs Radio Track FM tuner
USR 1749 (OEM) v.90 data/fax/voice modem

Not too shabby, considering I started out with a Compaq P75 and salvaged what I could out of it to build what I've got now!
