Hmm..I just tied 3.5x75 on SoftFSB and it crashed on me (too much voltage? probably cuz i have it set on 2.3) ..so i set it manually and set it back to 2.0.
Posted right (3.5x75=263)
Reset it right there and then and went back up to 466...Sorry im not gunna go any further after the post was right =P
BTW i have a ABIT BH6 with the LN bios too..
Maybe u should open a thread entitled to all Cel 400 + ABIT BH6 users..seems unique to that pair

Anybody else had this happen? I have the Abit Bh6 and a Celeron 400 - I had it oc'd to 450mhz (6.0*75mhz) and I installed the new bios, released 7/26/99, ID is LN. I installed that, and when I rebooted, having kept the same settings, my cpu was read as a Celeron 466mhz in the post, and is actually running at 486mhz - Sandra says at 6.0*81mhz.

So I got 6 extra mhz on the FSB from that, and 36 extra mhz total. It really is at 486mhz, too - or, at least, its faster than it was at 450mhz, and has been for several days. I tried for the next highest fsb setting of 83mhz (or 89 in this case), but no luck.

Cool, huh? Just really didnt expect that, and wondered if this was a unique experience or something.

Heh - thanks Aura, I dont blame you for not going any further with that. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

All my settings in the Bios look exactly like they did before, so no, they didnt change the settings. Still 75, 83, 95,etc on mine. Something has changed tho, to make it this way.

The more I think about it, it just sounds like a fluke - its just wierd, but the only result so far is that I have a faster computer, so I guess I just wont worry about it, tho I might try posting again after a while, if I just cant stand wondering anymore.
