I'm building a new machine based on an Addtronics 7896A chassis. It is all new parts so I don't want/need an ISA slots. Single or dual processor is fine. I plan to use 450 - 500 mhz PII/PIII.

Also, I want as few integrated features as possible because I want the ability to expand, replace, and upgrade the old-fashioned way: with expansion cards.

So, I'd like to get a board with 1 AGP and SIX (6) PCI slots.

I'd appreciate any ideas, recommendations, guidance, suggestions . . .

Thanks,
Scott@hauert.net

Cound your spots, there are 7 slots in the back of the case, total. you want 8 cards? You can, however have 6 PCI, one shared with an ISA, because, why not? G for some integrated stuff, get an ATA/66, ATA/33, and maybee even a realy good sound card integrated, you still have all the slots, but you do not have to install any extra stuff.

Thanks, Killerbug, for checking my math. I plain forgot to count the slots on the case and was assuming it had 8 like the old days.
