The 571 is a very popular board. Apparently all made by the same company, but under several brand names. PC Chips seems to have the latest bios for these boards. Can I use a PC Chips bios on the Eurone brand of the same version? (3.2)
I'm having trouble supporting an AMD k6 266 on the Eurone, but no problem on my Amptron PA 9100.
Anybody done this?

Hi!
Sure can. Pay ftp.pcchips.com.tw/BIOS/M571/V32 a visit for the latest BIOS (990421S.ROM).
For 2.2V operation, the board must be at least v3.2A. v3.2 and earlier don't have 2.2V CPU voltage.

Thanks Peter. These are Eurone M5571 3.2A. I went to pc chips, got the new bios and installed it successfully, however; it still won't let an AMD k6 266 boot. It hangs before the memory check. A Winchip 200 works fine. That's what I used to upgrade the bios. If you have any ideas, please pass them along.
I keep checking the jumpers, so I'm sure they're set right.

Mystery solved. Turns out I've been trying to use a bad cpu. Put another AMD k6 266 in and the sky opened up. Booted up faster than I could read anything. Sorry guys. This chip has caused lots of lost time and depression, on about 5 different motherboards. It showed different problems on each board. Crazy.
