I bought a bx6 rev 2.02 4 days ago and i found out that there's a newer revision versioned 2.03.
what is newer in this one? my dealer will replace me the board with no additional fee so i want to know whether i should or shouldn't...
(I heard about a RT2 fix... but i think mine works good)

2.03 probably is a BIOS update. The latest at www.abit-usa.com (http://www.abit-usa.com) >Downloads is "LU" dated 7/6/99.

Roy, It's a NEW motherboard.. not bios.
for SURE cuz i saw a labal on the most left ISA slot, mine has 2.02, the new has 2.03

Same mobo, shipped with the later BIOS. Just a way of IDing the change. Abit has been doing this since my v2.0 first appeared.
A hardware change is coded by a new Revision number i.e., BX6 Rev. 2.0 is a different piece of hardware compared to the original BX6. I have both, they are physically different.

ERR ... Roy,
The mobo rev decimals DO refer to changes to the MOTHERBOARD HARDWARE, not the BIOS.
While I don't have a clue as to the 2.03, the 2.02 LOST the cap and resistor required measure the thermal diode Intel builds inside the silicone of the CPU on all PII, PIII, and Celerons. Should be noted that some have soldered there own onto the board (the holes and circuit were still there, just not used. Abit probably made a whole half penny extra.)
Also, the 2.02 GAINED a plug-in external thermistor cable that was missing on the 2.01.
Other changes may also have been made (call Abit Tech and hope for honesty).
Keep checking the message boards. Somebody's gonna know at least some of the scoop!
Good Luck
The revisions seem to refer to both minor hardware changes and definitely to BIOS changes. The thermistor was "thrown in" as a courtesy. The deletion of the capacitor and resistor may have been as early as the later part of the 2.0 production run.
