Whenever I boot my system I get the following error "Conflict I/O Ports: 3F8." Through swapping out boards I've identified it as relating to my isa modem. After hitting F1, the system still boots and runs fine, including the modem. Should I just not worry about it? Are there jumpers on the modem I can change (a U.S. Robotics modem)? Any help is appreciated.

03F8 is usually COM1. Your modem is conflicting in COM1 with your BIOS.
You need to disable COM1 in your BIOS.

Thanks for the tip. I tried two things -- giving the com1 port another address and disabling it entirely. Both eliminated the conflict problem, but then the modem didn't work, at all. When I reset the address to 3F8 I got the conflict message again, but the modem worked again too. Any other suggestions?
