Will most boards that support PII's support PIII's with a simple bios update? And what about future higher clockspeeds? Only one board I looked at stated it would support up to 1024MHz. I am looking for a board with these features: Dual PIII(that will Support future slot 1 CPU's), ATX 440BX 100MHz+ , 1 2X AGP, 2ISA,3+ PCI, 4 DIMM 1GB. Is it possible to stay in the $200 and below range?
What about Xeons? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to wait for the "Camino" chip to come out.

As for the $200 price range, That will be tough with Duel slot 1's

Intel plans to put a stop to running duel socket 370's.starting with the 500. So unless Abit comes up with a fix for it, the BP6 will not offer too much upgrading. If your gonna go BP6 you better get your 466's now.

You may want to look at the new Abit BP6, which is a dual socket 370 m/b.

While the only chip that can be used on it now is the Celeron series of cpu's, Intel plans to move away from the slot 1 format with the P3 later this year, to the 370 socket design, with the introduction of the P3 with a 256k, full processor clock speed, on chip, L2 cache. They won't need the slot 1 format anymore, due to no more external L2 cache.
