What is the best thing to use to vac the interior of your computer? Will a regular vac work? Or does it cause to much static?

I am scared to death to put any sort of contraption that sucks air inside of my tower, but it does need a good cleaning.

I wouldn't stick a vac hose in there, but rather just lay the hose close by & blow the dust into the air with canned air. The vac will catch it once it's blowing around.

As I understand it, I thought you could vacuum the inside of your case as long as you used a plastic nozzle on the tip. I used this with my moms old 486SX, and everything seemed to work fine after....

used a housevac and taped an empty pen casing onto the end so we could suck around the components. worked fine http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Thanks for the pen idea, wyvn. I like that!

But watch that hose in there!! I use a strong shop vac & it'll literally pull things apart. Found out the hard way that it WILL pull a jumper off!!
