I'm in the process of building a new computer. I've heard numerous things about both the Asus P2B and the Abit BH6. Quite frankly, the only difference I see is the price. If there are any conflicts you know about or can suggest either one based on experience, they would be greatly appreciated.

MOHO, the Asus boards are much more stable and less problem prone than the Abit boards. I use a P2B-S in my main system, and have never had a problem with any of the components or memory. I also run a newer P2B rev 1.10 that I did the voltage mod on, with a PII333 runing @ 500/2.1 volts.

If overclocking+stability is a priority, consider the MSI 6163 with or without onboard sound. I like it a TON better than the BH6.

i have a friend with a abit bh6 + 300a (his second board, the first was glitchy)with good memory it will run 464mhz 99% stable or 504mhz random glitches, where as i have a asus p2b that runs rock solid with a 300a at 504mhz (possibly a better chip)but his seems more fussy about the quality of his ram, yes having soft bios is cool but once you set your fsb and voltage to get it stable you leave it set so changing jumpers now and again is no great hassle, plus i use the program SOFTFSB to change the fsb in windows anyhow so i would recomend opting for stability with the P2B "just my 2 cents worth"
P2b it is then. i also want the 4 DIMMs too. thx all. Any video conflicts anyone know of?
