This was taken from Thresh's Firing Squad: http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/zm6/ Don't know if you've read this one yet, but I like their site.

"While the ZM6 isn't for everyone, it strikes to make a name for itself in the low-cost Celeron market, and there it succeeds beautifully.

Power users will opt for full Pentium II motherboards based on Intel's 400BX chipset, but anyone looking for a low-cost, overclockable combination of Intel Celeron and 100Mhz motherboard can consider the ZM6 a serious contender. Sporting all of the overclocking features of its big brother, the BM6, the 440ZX version offers more features than you'll find on any competing ZX product.

Quite simply, if for some reason you're looking for a 440ZX product, you're not going to find more options than on the ZM6. If however, you're looking for a full-featured motherboard for your fully-overclockable Celeron, you're probably better off with the BM6, or a socket-to-slot converter on a slot-1 motherboard."

Sorry it took so long to reply back to this.
I think the only differences between the two is, one: the chipset. I think the bm6 uses the 440BX chipset, and the zm6 is sporting the new ZX chipset. two: in my opinion they are the same board, one is just a newer architecture. I really should read more on these before I go sticking my big feet in my mouth. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Look at it this way; all the good things in life have a 'Z' in them. 300ZX, Iroc Z28, Ninja ZX11, you get the point...
