$80 is too high even with shipping unless i is high quality stuff. You ahould be able to get it cheaper elsewhere. Do youhave to pay tax?

NO WAY
That is too much for that kind of RAM. If u live in Texas, USA--Chipsmart is the place to shop(www.chipsmart.com)

Otherwise this is one of the best places to shop for RAM--www.memplus.com
I bought the same RAM u have listed for less than $70 around 60 I think...but u should check it out.
Also try www.pricewatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com) for many other great places to buy!

If u cannot buy online, than I'm sorry I can't help u http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

Kite, if you buying over the internet, there is no tax.

And anything around $1/mb seems reasonable to me.

FYI,

There IS taxes on some website's and depending on where you live as MANY companies are authorized to collect taxes for other states and DO collect taxes if their business is located in the same state as it is shipping too!

Kite, I know being 12 years old puts you at a disadvantage with credit cards and such, but see if you can get your Mom to order some good memory online. http://www.mushkin.com/cgi-bin/Mushkin.filereader?38e7d3ea0b9cc0c2273fcdaa9b02073 7+EN/storefront/HotDeals
64MB of PC133 for $52 and if you talk with them, they might help you a little more. Good people at Mushkin.

I (am about to) have a computer with Rambus memory. Is it possible to buy additional RDRAM separately?

Yes, listen to Underclocked... I bought my memory from Mushkin, they are one of the best online stores I've used. And they pack it in a cool reusable "air" bag http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Warthog, why in the world would you buy a system with Rambus memory. Ouch!

Well, if you know what you're doing, then more power to ya. If you don't know what you're doing, then stop and think twice before buying that ****.

read some articles.
speed bump is not all that significant to warrant paying 3x/4x fold over SDRAM.

Just my thoughts.
